Hello, I am Savvas Verdis

Visual artist and public policy teacher based at the London School of Economics. My letter-pressing practice is split between making giant letter-wheels that look like strange typesetting machines, which I later ink and roll across canvases, walls and streets, to effectively “paint with language". My works are often collaborations using words from poets and song writers and live mainly in private collections, public buildings and the permanent collection of the Obama Presidential Centre in Chicago.
